Meet the cat siblings with two different colour eyes

Cat siblings in Russia have an incredibly rare genetic condition which makes both eyes different colours.

Pictures of the bright white cats show that they both have one blue eye and one brown eye. Side by side it looks like they have swapped one of their eyes with each other for the day. The two are inseparable and we're kind of certain that they will be getting scouted for modelling anytime soon.

The kittens named, Iriss and Abiss, live with their owner in St Petersburg, amazingly both have heterochromia which makes eyes two different colours on the same body. Pavel Kasianov adopted the cats after he saw an advert for them online, they are cross-breed and only ten-month-old.

He stated that he was blown away by their appearance (which is understandable) and felt he had to adopt both together because they're siblings. Their eyes are truly hypnotising and is a sight not many will see in their lifetime, the rare genetic condition obviously is even rarer to have affected two cats in the same litter. The snow white fur almost contrasts with the contrasting eyes creating an overall incredible appearance.

Pavel decided to post photos of the modelesque cats on an Instagram page, and obviously, their unique look has attracted many people to follow them. They've racked up more than 70,000 followers. He made the Instagram page as an almost photo gallery to show off their special beauty. He views the Instagram page as an art gallery, with each picture having its own story behind it and shot perfectly so it fits the crisp theme. The gem-like eyes and pure white fur effortlessly create this art gallery feel.

The different colour irises are caused by a lack of pigment. They also have the rarest form of heterochromia, the "complete heterochromia" which causes them to be completely different colours. In some cases heterochromia can have quite nasty effects on animals and their health, for example, it can cause blindness and deafness but luckily this pair avoided that tragic fate - they try and catch all the little flies, even ones on the ceiling.

Despite their new found fame, Pavel says his pets cats are not spoilt and for this reason, they aren't little divas. Once they have warmed up to you then they are really easy going. Pavel can be sure that deafness hasn't been a side effect for the kittens as when he opens a can of cat food at the other end of the house, the kittens can be sure to be begging around his feet in the next two seconds.

This little pair of model twins are a sight for sore eyes. They look basically identical with their distinctive eyes and white fur, it's safe to say that you could pick these two from a crowd easily. The moral of the story is to show off the aspects about you that make you different.
